Lot of things happening around us- be it war on Iraq, Myanmar unrest, partiality in accrediting the sportsperson- everything, each and everything involves the so-called influential, self-praised, not-so-educated breed called Politicians. Are these elected representatives mere spectators like us? Are they the source of corruption? Are they worth to be portrayed and publicized? Do they have the strength and capability to govern millions of people? Will they tap the booming economy?
Lot and lot of questions like this arise in the minds of young people. Few have the opportunity and platform to express their consent or regret on a topic through media and forums; But most of them whose views are unheard and who cannot express their dissatisfaction and disbelief, what can they do? Write a blog!
In most cases, freedom of speech is misunderstood by this breed. They use it as a tool to lure the voters, ditch the people, become a millionaire and jump from one party to another.
These are the comments of politicians whom we have voted to power and who millions trust to make this world a better place to live.
A well-known politician says "Does **** study in an Engineering college to build Adam's bridge? Which Engineering College he studied? Is there a proof that he built it?". If we are to collect proof of each natural and man-made constructions, the archeological department will make a lot of money!
Another reacts to the above comment "Chop his head, I will weigh his head against gold".
One, who has to transfer power after his 20 months tenure as a Chief Minister to a coalition party, "I don't have full trust on this party". When asked 2 days prior to his last day in office, he says "still 2 days left, wait and watch". Wonderful response from a responsible leader.
One, who kills his own citizens in the name of war on terror, urges India to sign a nuclear deal, urges Myanmar 'Junta' to pact with UN envoy, urges Pakistan to have a fair election, urges Cuba to end the long rule of Castro. First try to keep your home safe for living, then let's discuss about allies and enemies.
One, who has deported two bigwigs from his country, lays his own rules on contesting elections. Becomes a major factor for unrest among lawyers. Tries his hand for another term?
All these and much much more.
The young brigade, watching all these silently, need no time to pounce back. This world is watching you. Beware!
